Itraconazole capsules are mainly used for:Fungal nail infections (onychomycosis)For toenails (with or without fingernail involvement): 200 mg once daily with a full meal for 12 weeks .For fingernails only: 200 mg twice daily with a meal for 1 week, then stop for 3 weeks, then repeat the 1‑week course (pulse therapy) .Lung and systemic fungal infectionsFor infections like aspergillosis, histoplasmosis, blastomycosis, etc.: usually 200 mg once or twice daily with food, often for several months (at least 3 months or longer, depending on the infection) Esophageal candidiasis (yeast infection of the food pipe)200 mg once daily with food for at least 3 weeks, and sometimes continued for 2 weeks after symptoms go away .Other fungal infectionsUsed off‑label for conditions like coccidioidomycosis, sporotrichosis, and some deep skin fungal infections, at doses of 200–400 mg daily, divided if needed
