Tofacitinib is prescribed for:Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) – moderate to severe RA in adults who did not respond well to or cannot tolerate TNF inhibitors or other DMARDs like methotrexate Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) – active psoriatic arthritis in adults who have not responded adequately to TNF blockers .Ulcerative colitis (UC) – moderate to severe ulcerative colitis in adults who have not responded to or cannot take TNF blockers .Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) – active ankylosing spondylitis in adults who have not responded well to TNF inhibitors .Polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (pcJIA) – in children ≥2 years of age with polyarticular course JIA who did not respond to TNF blockers
